Setting: Bond and Honey Ryder are on a small boat, having just escaped Dr. No's laboratory.
James Bond (Checking the gauge): We've run out of fuel.
Honey Ryder: What are we going to do now?
James Bond: Well, we can swim, or, er...
Honey Ryder: Or what?
James Bond: Come here.
(Honey Ryder moves in toward him. In the background, a navy vessel approaches with Felix Leiter on it)
Felix Leiter: Ahoy, Mr Bond! Ahoy, Mr Bond!
James Bond: Well, well! What's the matter? Do you need help?
Felix Leiter: I'm quite sure you don't.
James Bond: Now that you're here, you'd better give us a tow.
Felix Leiter: Throw us your line.
(James Bond and Honey Ryder remain on the small boat and kiss. As they do so, Bond releases the tow line...)

Dr. No - Meeting Honey Ryder for the first time
Setting: Dr. No's private island, on the beach.
(Bond sees Honey Ryder exiting the sea, examining her shells. He interrupts her singing)
Honey Ryder: Who is that?
James Bond: It's all right. I'm not supposed to be here, either. I take it you're not. Are you alone?
Honey Ryder: What are you doing here? Looking for shells?
James Bond: No. I'm just looking.
Honey Ryder: Stay where you are.
James Bond: I promise I won't steal your shells.
Honey Ryder: I promise you you won't, either.
(Bond steps forward. Honey Ryder reaches for her knife)
Honey Ryder: Stay where you are!
James Bond: I can assure you, my intentions are strictly honourable.
(She walks along the beach, away from Bond. Bond catches up and walks alongside her)
James Bond: What's your name?
Honey Ryder: Ryder.
James Bond: Ryder what?
Honey Ryder: Honey... Ryder.
(Bond looks at her in disbelief, and tries to hold back a smile)
Honey Ryder: What's so funny about it?
James Bond: Nothing. It's a very pretty name.
Honey Ryder: What's your name?
James Bond: James.

Dr. No - Arranging a date with Miss Taro
Setting: Jamaica
(After leaving a meeting, Bond catches Miss Taro listening in through the keyhole)
James Bond: That's a naughty little habit. Listening at keyholes?
Miss Taro: I wasn't listening, I was looking for those files. Anything that can't be found, I get the blame.
James Bond: Oh, forget it. Actually, it's not very important anyhow. I hate to think of you spending all afternoon looking for them.
Miss Taro: No. I have the afternoon off.
James Bond: There's a coincidence. So have I. Why don't you show me round the island?
Miss Taro: What should I say to an invitation from a strange gentleman?
James Bond: You should say yes.
Miss Taro: I should say maybe.
James Bond: Three o'clock, my hotel. Maybe?
Miss Taro: Yes, maybe.
James Bond: Good.

Dr. No - Getting Acquainted with Sylvia Trench
Setting: Bond's Hotel Room.
(Bond enters his room with a gun after hearing movement, only to find Sylvia practising her putting with a golf club and some balls. She is wearing negligée).
Sylvia Trench (Holding a golf club): There! Now you made me miss it.
James Bond: You don't miss a thing. How did you get in here?
Sylvia Trench: I decided to accept your invitation.
James Bond: That was for tomorrow afternoon. Tell me... Do you always dress this way for golf?
Sylvia Trench: I changed into something more comfortable. I hope I did the right thing.
James Bond: You did the right thing, but you picked the wrong moment. I have to leave immediately.
Sylvia Trench: Oh, that's too bad. Just as things were getting interesting again.
(Sylvia leans in and kisses bond)
Sylvia Trench: When did you say you had to leave?
James Bond: Immediately... Almost immediately.

Meeting Miss Moneypenny For The First Time
Setting: Miss Moneypenny's office at MI6.
(Bond throws his hat on to the hat stand. It lands perfectly.)
Miss Moneypenny (To the telephone): See if he's there, will you?
Miss Moneypenny (Seeing Bond for the first time): James, where on earth have you been? I've been searching London for you!
Miss Moneypenny (To the telephone): 007 is here, sir.
Miss Moneypenny (To Bond): He'll see you in a minute.
(Bond flips through Miss Moneypenny's papers, so she slaps his hand away)
James Bond: Moneypenny!
(Bond takes her hand)
James Bond: What gives?
Miss Moneypenny: Me. Given an ounce of encouragement.
(She admires his dinner suit)
Miss Moneypenny: You never take me to dinner looking like this, James. You never take me to dinner. Period.
James Bond: I would, you know. Only M would have me court-martialled for illegal use of government property.
Miss Moneypenny: Flattery will get you nowhere... But don't stop trying. Now...
James Bond: What's all this to-do about?
Miss Moneypenny: Strangways. And it looks serious. We've been burning the air between here and Jamaica for three hours.
(The door buzzes and the light turns from red to green)
Miss Moneypenny: Oh. In you go.
James Bond: Don't forget to write.
